My name is Nick and welcome to my blog. I am married to a wonderful woman, Jenny, and the proud father of three amazing kids. Over the past decade I’ve been privileged to work for some amazing ministries, including InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ministry is something that I have come to love, but it was not my first choice. Like so much in life, I’ve come to see that what I thought were detours were actually God’s way of pointing me away from my own plans and toward his own.

This blog has become my way of processing this journey. It is a place to share thoughts about life, faith, and the highs and lows of following God.  It is a place to ask questions, voice doubts, celebrate victories, mourn over losses, and, along the way, have fun.

If you are a guest here, I invite you to share your own story, thoughts, and reflections as well.  The comments section of this blog is open to you.  I only ask that you leave your name when posting.  It is nice to know who is a part of the conversation:)

Welcome to “ProdigalPreacher”.
